Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 (5-pound) whole chicken giblets removed
  • 4 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 4 sprigs fresh oregano

Instructions

  • Begin by removing the giblets from the chicken cavity if they are included. Rinse the chicken under cold water and pat it dry with paper towels.
  • In a small bowl, combine the avocado oil, poultry seasoning, Italian seasoning, kosher salt, and ground black pepper. Rub this mixture generously all over the chicken.
  • Place the fresh thyme and oregano sprigs inside the chicken cavity.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 360°F (182°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Carefully place the seasoned chicken breast-side down in the air fryer basket. Cook for 30 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 25-30 minutes.
  • Once the chicken is cooked through, let it rest for 10-15 minutes before carving.
