Ingredients

  • 1 pound bone-in, skin-on chicken drumsticks
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Start by rinsing the chicken drumsticks under cold water and patting them dry with paper towels.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the baking powder, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, kosher salt, and ground black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  • Add the chicken drumsticks to the bowl with the spice mixture. Toss them until they are evenly coated.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and carefully place the coated drumsticks in a single layer.
  • Cook the drumsticks in the air fryer for 25-30 minutes, flipping them halfway through until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  • Once cooked, carefully remove the drumsticks from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
