Ingredients

  • 1 pound bone-in, skin-on chicken drumsticks
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring spoons
  • Cooking Spray

Method

  1. Start by rinsing the chicken drumsticks under cold water and patting them dry with paper towels.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the baking powder, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, kosher salt, and ground black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  3. Add the chicken drumsticks to the bowl with the spice mixture. Toss them until they are evenly coated.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  5. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and carefully place the coated drumsticks in a single layer.
  6. Cook the drumsticks in the air fryer for 25-30 minutes, flipping them halfway through until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  7. Once cooked, carefully remove the drumsticks from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add fresh herbs like parsley or rosemary.
