I’m not joking.

Well.

I guess I am.

It’s only because I’ve never had crack.

But I imagine it would taste like this.

Like really really really good roasted broccoli.

With just enough color, crispness and tenderness.

Plus.

With freshly grated Parmesan, it’s actually kind of a step up from crack.

Just saying.

Recipe

Yield: 6 servings
Prep: 10 minutes
Cook: 15 minutes
Total: 25 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 heads broccoli, cut into florets*
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • ⅓ cup freshly grated Parmesan
  • Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Lightly oil a baking sheet or coat with nonstick spray.
    2. Place broccoli florets in a single layer onto the prepared baking sheet. Add olive oil, garlic, thyme and oregano; season with salt and pepper, to taste. Gently toss to combine.
    3. Place into oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until tender.
    4. Serve immediately, sprinkled with Parmesan.
