Build your very own salsa bar for your next party or get-together! Your guests will be very happy, super impressed, and well-fed! The best part? It takes just minutes to whip up without slaving away in the kitchen!
Um. What? It’s May? And Cinco de Mayo is in like 2 days?
Yikes! Where did the time go?
Soon it’ll be pumpkin season. Then Thanksgiving. Then Christmas.
BUT! Before all that happens, can we just have this salsa bar every single day?
I mean, it’s one of the easiest party food platters to assemble!
The secret?
Go to your local Mexican grocery store and find their salsa section! I went to Superior Grocers and picked up all the salsas they had. They make it fresh daily.
But, you can always make it homemade as well. Links to my homemade versions below.
Salsa? Guacamole? Both?
I recommend grabbing a variety of mild to hot salsas. Everyone has different tolerances for heat – that way, everyone has a salsa they can turn to.
Guacamole is a must for me but you can keep it strictly with salsas if you prefer.
Platter or plate?
I used one of my favorite cheeseboards for this. If you don’t have a cheeseboard handy, I would recommend using a sheet pan.
How to assemble?
Find cute small bowls, like ramekins, for your salsas. Spread them out on your platter, cheeseboard or sheet pan. Then you can fill the empty spaces with chips, avocado halves, peppers and cilantro.
